Dar es Salaam, September 29, 2019:TOTAL Tanzania has urged motorists to maximize on the use of TOTAL Excellium, a high-tech fuel that cleans and provide longer-lasting protection to vehicle engines to ensure they perform better, use less fuel and produce fewer polluting emissions.
The TOTAL Network Director, Marieme Sow said in a press statement that TOTAL Excellium was specially designed by the company’s researchers to clean the engine kilometer after kilometer and also prevent up to 93% of deposits build-up in comparison to non-additive fuel. TOTAL Excellium is the only fuel in Tanzania with additives which has molecules that reduce friction between metal parts, hence minimize wear and tear, to help extend engine life. Together, cleaning and friction-reduction technologies lead to reduced fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
“When you drive your car, deposits build up in your engine due to direct injection and friction between metal particles.,” she added that modern engines are particularly vulnerable to this problem, an accumulation of deposits can affect the engine's operation and negatively impact performance, resulting in higher fuel consumption, more harmful emissions and less power.
She called on customers to embrace consistency and only fuel at TOTAL service stations if they want to see the results and insisted that mixing of fuel will not give the expected results to the car engine. “We recommend that they stick to TOTAL Excellium and they will experience these positive results,” she said.
Marieme added that long-distance drivers especially bus and truck drivers who use TOTAL Excellium have been testifying on how their engines record much better performance, uses less fuel and are much cleaner due to TOTAL Excellium.
Total Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Marsha Msuya Kilewo exclaimed that while all petroleum product imported in Tanzania through Bulk Procurement system is of the same quality, Total makes the difference by adding the additive to the fuel through an automated system at the depot before the product is transported to all Total and Gapco branded service stations. She affirmed that despite the huge investment made by Total to bring the Excellium product in the market – Total Excellium is sold at the same price as other non-additive fuel and all you have to do to get Total Excellium, is DRIVE to your nearby Gapco or Total station to enjoy the benefits of this amazing product.
TOTAL currently has more than 100 service stations countrywide and is on a mission to ensure that all motorists choose TOTAL Excellium as their fuel of choice.
